McCormack House was built by the owner's grandparents in 1949
and has been in the family ever since.
The house is located on a quiet street in a residential area. It offers spacious, elegant living on a single level.
The
beautiful hardwood floors include birds-eye and curly maple - wood to inspire
a luthier.
There are two
bedrooms plus a sunroom which can accommodate a fifth or maybe sixth person.
The back of the house facing the view is elevated and looks over the large garden/backyard and a magnificent view of Blomidon. The kitchen, dining room, living room and sunroom all face this lovely view.
The house has just been renovated and is furnished with new beds and sofas and fine antiques.
The main floor offers 1600 sq. ft. (150 sq.m.) of living space. Here is the floor plan.

There
are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and ensuite half
bathroom.

The
second bedroom has two twin beds which can be joined to make a king-sized bed
with king-sized linens.

The
sunroom can be used as a third bedroom using the Simmons hide-a-bed couch and
drawing the blinds, or as a den.
All beds have high-quality mattresses and 100% cotton linens
for your comfort.

The kitchen is completely contemporary, with new appliances and all the necessary utensils for preparing home-cooked meals.
Right: the entrance to the den/ sunroom/ spare bedroom.
There is cable TV and high-speed internet access.
Left
below: the main bathroom, which has a tub with shower. There is also an ensuite
half bathroom in the master bedroom.
The basement laundry room has washer, dryer, ironing
board and iron, and sink, and is reached by stairs from the kitchen.
Our hostess/manager, Carol Carpenter, will be pleased to answer any questions you may have about the area.
This Associated Press article, written by one of our guests, was in the New York Times and many other papers, and mentions the house, the town of Wolfville, and Carol's hospitality in glowing terms.
